Want to drive an Atom for $1000?

How about 3 laps around a race track in a 300BHP Ariel Atom 3?

Ok, so here's an idea, and it's JUST AN IDEA at this stage, but I wanted to see how many people might be interested. Most of you would probably be aware of the fact there are many 'hot lap' or 'race car driving day' type programs out there where you can pay anything from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars to drive a race car around a track a couple of times.
In line with this idea, I was thinking if there was enough interest from people willing to part with $1000 to drive 3 laps around a race track in a 300BHP Ariel Atom, we might be able to make this happen.

By showing your interest below you're definitely not committing to anything at this stage, I just want to get an idea of the level of interest in making this happen. If it does look like being possible, we'd certainly provide further information about deposits, days/dates, race track locations, insurance etc etc, but let's start with finding out if people are interested first.

So if you're excited by the idea of taking one of these AWESOME machines for a few laps around a race track, let me know below and if there's enough interest, I'll be in touch with further details about how it might work.
And don't forget to join our Facebook here to keep up to date with progress on getting this Ariel Atom onto our shores.

$1k for three laps, sounds a bit rich.

I would want a full session at least (say 10 laps) for $1k.

i'd be in but 3 laps is not enough. for a grand i would want more than 5.5mins of fun

Sounds great, although $1000 is a little steep, unless it was for a day with lunch thrown in! Am trying to organise an awesome surprise 30th Bday present for my hubby!Am in Sydney...Eastern Creek Raceway would be great!

Look I really want one of these but re - $1000 /3 laps: Guys, too much. Considering that they start at 20K GBP, which is only around $40k AUD now, maybe $50K landed here unregistered and unroadworthy, you are asking the sort of money that would get you more time in a Maclaren F1! I don't care how much insurance etc is - you could charge a couple of hundred and still break even.

i'm in....eastern creek or philip island would be incredible but i agree with others that 1k for 3 laps is a bit rich.

If there was enough interest I would be interested in buying one to lease out to many so I can end up with one for next to nothing.

I'm definately interested, but i agree with the majority, $1000.00 is too much. These things only cost about $60,000. Your dreaming. Do you want to make your money back in a weekend? $200 for 3 laps is still exy but worth saving for.

Absolutely!!! Brisbane Sydney or Melbourne - I don't care

I'd sell all of my toys to have one, and some of them are quite nice toys. But... if I was gonna buy one, I'd want to take it for a test drive. So, charge me $1000 for a few hot laps, but say maybe more than few, perhaps a track day with some open wheeler instruction, some hot pit babes and a bit of pampering, and if I buy it give me the $1000 off the price... Count me in :-)

$1000. Just not worth it. You couldn't even get a feel for the car in 3 laps, unless it's a 20km circuit.

$1000k for a bit of instruction followed by 10 laps might be more realistic, with lunch afterwards.

You're not gonna make any friends at that price. Hell, you can buy one outright for $50k.

YES, around phillip island

Im all for an Atom Hotlap service, hell. I found this page looking for one before booking my v8 experience. but your not going to grab anyone at that price point, 10 laps in a modified v8 will only set you back half that and yes I hear you scream, their not atoms.

Atoms are almost... road legal, insurance should be a no brainier versus some street legal car that's had everything gutted.

Dont get me wrong, Totally for the idea, just either not at that price, or not a such a low lap count.

definately interested, in WA, Perth somewhere... but i agree that $1000 is a bit over the top.

maybe $300 for 3 laps, considering its less than 10 mins of fun. if it was $1000 maybe make it an hour?

good luck!
