Yep, the time for action is definitely now and if you're an Atom fan based in Australia, we've got a plan and we want you to be involved.
Now everyone's best friend, Jeremy Clarkson, had a chance to take the Ariel Atom out for a spin a LONG TIME AGO and being that Australia is obviously the last country to get lots of good stuff (iphone anyone?) you'd have to expect that getting the Atom to Australia is a low priority to everyone living outside Australia, but that's obviously not the case for you (and us). This desire has been simmering since 2005 (yep, that's a long time to see no results) and we just can't contain it anymore so it's time to do something about it!
Short of being rude, we're doing all we can to get further information regarding the Atom, the possibility of getting it to Australia and on the roads, because like you, we just can't keep waiting, so here's what we're planning to:
To support our plans, we want EVERY SINGLE VISITOR TO THIS SITE to add a comment to this post to show your support for getting the Atom to Australia. Getting a good idea of how much demand there actually is in Australia will hopefully show that we're serious about getting the Atom here. So post a comment, tell us how badly you want it and that WE DESERVE TO SEE THE ATOM IN AUSTRALIA!
Ever wondered what it feels like to have your cheeks double the size of your face from the rush of wind caused by a car travelling from 0-100km/hr in 2.8 seconds? Welcome to the Ariel Atom.

An awsome motor car
Lets keep life interesting
drive Atom to work instead of the sedan for the environment.
I hope to buy one in the next 12 months.
Head to www.p1international.com.au -> cars -> Group 1
AFAICS, there's one in AUS already. I doesn't look like the 300HP supercharged version though..
Been waiting since 2006 and there is still no progress. It cant be that hard
My partner and I saw an Atom heading eastbound on the Logan motorway near Brisbane around Christmas time 2006. We were positive that it was one because of the exposed chassis, rear mounted engine (quite visible) and nose cone. Have never seen it again, but willing to sell body parts to finance a purchase of such an awesome vehicle.
love this thing waiting for one..
I have been waiting for over 2 years and will definitely buy one when available - I am going to Ashland Oregon USA to test drive one in MAY 2008
Trek6006 Perth, Western Australia.
I was on the waiting list for one about 2 years ago, but it's seeming more like a pipe dream now - too many roadblocks to get it legalised here.
By the time it's here it will be seriously old news anyhow.
Aussie Exotics
I'd hand over 100k now
The car for sale on p1international is an Atom2 160. Ariel have now moved on to making the Atom3. There is also an Atom1 in Oz. Last I heard it was still for sale.
US Atoms will no longer be made by Brammo in Ashland Oregon. A Canadian company, TMI, will be making the cars in Virginia in future.
Various dealers have been trying to gain road compliance in Oz since 2000. If you want Atoms in Oz you need to support OWI by lobbying government to get them on the road or start buying them as race/track cars only.
If (When) these Atoms come to Australia i'll be buying two of them!
These little gems are awesome!
Id defiantly get one as soon as they some out. They look sick and i cant wait to drive one.
I want one as soon as they come out here.
please hurry
There is an Aussie track car about 2/3 the size and half the weight with a bike engine coming out soon with performance similar to the 300HP supercharged version and under $50K. This looks similar to an old formula one car but with a retro body.
Please, please bring the car to Aussie even if its in kit form or for an Aussie plant to build (Mitsubishi Adelaide springs to mind). Would love to see JC take one for a spin around Bathurst.
I bet KTM don't bring the X-Bow here either.
I have loved them since seeing it on "Top Gear"- the best car show I'v ever seen.I only wanna see the supercharged 300bhp model, dont bother if we cant get the top of the range which is normally what happens in Oz, we get boring models when every one else gets the cream. BRING IT ON!
I love the car, just a look on youtube should be enough to satisfy the speed demon in us all. I have to say that these vehicles would be the closest to riding a motorcycle without ever throwing a leg, and the performance...! Hey what is the difference between the atom2 and atom3.
Where is my Aussie Atom?!?
Boo hoo....
You can drive an Atom on NZ roads where it is perfectly legal to do so. So why oh why is Australia so backwards?!
Come on to those that make the rules. Cut the red tape, simplify the import and safety regulations and take the approach of adopting another country's standard like the UK's standard for example. What they then pass is then automatically a pass for us as well. I could be wrong on this point but I think that is what NZ did which is why it was on the roads there so quickly.
I would love to know what some of the specific details on compliance problems and hold ups, that's keeping this unbelievable vehicle from our roads.
I mean it goes - very fast, it stops - very quickly and it goes around a corner, what else do you need? some cars you buy today have trouble doing these basic functions.
Somebody pull there finger out and get it here now before I'm to old and just interested in the catalogue for electric granny scooters
Sign me up I cant believe we cant just bring one over and stick it on the road, what's the hold up anyhoo?
Car manufacturers go through compliance for new cars all the time. Has someone thought to try Honda and seek their help?
Since it will be their motor and it will give them heaps of publicity when on the road.
Everything a car should be... a motor bolted onto a couple of seats! You dont need a radio or windscreen, just the basics, gimmie gimmie gimmie....
We need cars like these that are within reach for the average guy these are the cars for those who want to drive super cars but can't afford them. I will buy one as soon as they are available.
Having built and registered a kit car for road use I can honestly say there is no way an Atom will be road legal here in its current form (v1 and v2). Personal import as a race car is the only way you'll get one.
There are plenty of local kit cars (or pay someone to build one) which can be passed for road use though if you want something that stands out and whips butt. The atom really is a track car anyway. It may be road legal in some places but if you really think about how inconvenient it would be to actually use you'd see it is pretty pointless here in Oz. For that sort of money in a track car. But as CAMS is starting to ban open cars from hillclimbs and rallys.... well think more carefully about how much use it will get.
Worked on my universities formula SAE a few years back and would love a car like the atom for the weekends drives down the coast. If it is ever released in Australia, i would be very interested in purchasing one. (Currently looking at getting an MX-5 Turbo for a weekend cruiser).
I want one!!!!1
Wow what a car.. Im getting 1 as soon as they come to Australia !!!
Someone should invite Mr Rudd to try one. I'm sure he would enjoy the ride. Aim at the top I say. If he can't get them legal then nobody can. Oh yeah... I want one too!!!
there are plenty of worse cars on the road that are legal whats wrong with this one, let it in and let us have some fun
This car needs to get here NOW!!
A car of this calibar can not be left to Pomes and Yanks. WE DESERVE THIS CAR!
For the amount of cars that the Australian Motor Industry has given to the world is it too much to ask for just one small car to be made legal for us?
get me one now
i dont care about registering it i want to see an Atom Cup
let these come to Aus, it will atleast give the lotus some competition and i wanna buy one.
It seems like a legal car and i'd love to own one of them. any price any time. please legalise it
I've just begun a savings plan so when this stunning automobile reaches our golden shores, I can take one home. And everywhere else possible!
we really need, no MUST HAVE this car Down Under!!, Australia would be the ideal place for a car like the Atom, espeacially for someone wanting something different than your normal run of "sports cars".
I would probably donate a kidney for one of these, however I feel that by the time they are legalised (if ever) in Australia, they are going to be old news. Add on the fact my mate in the UK reckons they have a 2 year manufacturing wait it would want to be soon.
Now they're dangling a 500BHP version in front of our noses. I really, really want one now.
Please sell the atom over here - I raced one in my tricked up suburu in london and my god, it made it look absolutely pedestrian.
Personally I like the idea of doing an electric conversion like the wrightspeed X1 - http://www.wrightspeed.com/x1.html - 0-100kph in 3 sec flat, 170 MPG!
It's definitely been a long wait and I hope OWI will eventually get through the redtape somewhat before the end of this year.
I'm ready to buy, as soon as it's ready to be sold - road legal.
Agree with the previous guy - as soon as they are road legal i will buy one as well!
I also like the idea of doing an electric conversion.
Is there enough interest to build our own version of an Atom or Westfield XTR4?????????
Why wait?
Show Me the CAR!!!! BUY BUY BUY
I've been watching for this car for ages! I want one. Now!
would give my left nut for one,
both for the 500hp!
gimme gimme gimme....
I want an Atom parked next to my AC Cobra replica in the garage
cash down now for 1. but, "P" platers shudnt be allowed at all.
I love the atom, I have been following it for ages and if the price were right I would have one in an instant. The design is brilliant in its simplicity. Since lightweight (relatively) low emissions (sports)cars are the way of the future I really feel that there should be some give ant take in the regulations for getting these kinds of cars registered.
I'm keen for this as soon as its released in Aust
I would love to see a car of this caliber come to OZ. It has more saftey then 75% of the cars on the road. It's crazy, in WA if you want to put a 5 point saftey harness in your car the only chance you have is if it is race registered, well that is for WA anyhow.
Like the government would ever allow a car of this class and Price to enter the market and compete against the crumpledoors and foldedcans the holden and ford are producing. Petrol guzzling V8's that struggle to get half the performance. I am a fan of the big 8, but holden/chev and ford forgot how to build a good one long ago. they figure straight line speed is all that matters.
Bring on the Atom and any other high performance machine that add's some individuality to the road.
This is one of the most exciting cars i have seen! This should be brought to aus immediatley for sale. Enough with the delay!
Simply watch the videos and tell me you dont get goose bumps!
I WANT AN ATOM NOW!!!!
we want the atom we want it now
i want i want... now now now... damn the rest of the world sometimes...
I'd love to see these in Aus, if they bring them over, I'm definitely interested.
I'm in too! I'll buy one as soon as they are out in Australia
The next car I buy will be one of these.
Those cars are fantastic, 'cut the crap, make it fast, make it handle well' - easy for the british!
Perhaps we should just get the plans and build one here? :)
Yes, been waiting for the Atom too but $120,000 + for one is starting to strain the reality a bit when cars such as the new GTR will be costing as "little" as 30,000 more........
It's all I want for Chistmas.... I don't ask for much.
as a p plater, i cant drive it! but in 3 years!!!! i would love to get one!!!
Why would i spend more on another performance car when i could have something this unique and this impressive.
When i can put some license plates on one here in oz, i'll raise my hand for one!
Compliance is not that hard. Buy 2 Ariel Atoms, get a SEVS engineering workshop to get accredited for the model, 1 is a test vehicle to crash, 1 is to show as an example of conformity to Aust Standards & Regs. It's not hard at all, just expensive & involves quite a bit of determination from more than 1 person. So if you're determined it's realy quite easy, everything is spelt out in the Regulations. Do your homework, get off your a$$, kiss goodbuy your time & any speare change & within 1 year you'll be complianced no worries :)
i would like to drive an atom down under as soon as it is released. it seems like a fantastic car to have and far safer than a motorbike, but with all the thrills.
Bring it!
Yes please!!
I want one....
BUT: if it can sit on 160km/hr in 40+ degree heat for 600km between fuel stops I NEED ONE.
Heck, 500km will do.
id buy one the day they came out
Fantastic car, but agreed, by the time it gains approval it could be old news... The only other hurdle is now that CAMS have banned open top sports cars in Targa Events...
I'll buy one to replace my cbr1000rr.
The only car to give me the same acceleration for under 200K.
I want one. Now.
i want one i want one i want. does it come in a kit. i would love to put one together.
Charles pal
Make a face book group of 'i want a Ariel Atom to come to Australian' send it to me an aussie and see how many people really wait one.
charles_palmer27@hotmail.com
had 205GTI,
had a 911,
had a Jensen Interceptor,
time for an Atom! (if not will have to get an Elise)
JUST BRING IT DOWN HERE!!!
man i want one of these cars so bad it is the altimate driving mans car i love it!!!!!!!!
I'd love to buy one if street legal. Why get a PRB when you could get the Atom. Have to be the right price though
I think we have been waiting long enough! I have been researching alot about this car and some similiar formats (RCR Superlite Roadster) I will be doing my own deisgn & building one from scratch because of the fact that we can't get one in OZ...shame really!
Checkout www.superlitecars.com and checkout the roadster! very similiar to the ATOM and in somways looks better!
We really need atom's on our roads!!!!
Give me a break you bunch of pommy bastards! You were quick to send your convicts out here but when it comes to balastic road rockets you can't even ship out a dozen.
It looks like I'll have to purchase a KTM Xbow instead.
I wish the Ariel Atom was sold in AUS. I have an integra type r (dc5 for those in the know) and love light weight/high revving cars. The Atom is the ultimate.
These things are awesome. Wanted one ever since i saw Clarkson driving it on top gear. Take an Atom over any caterham or clubman style car. they would have to be so much safer than than clubmans would be.
ive been on the wait list from the beginning but have pretty much lost all hope of it ever coming to australia.
looks like ill just buy a caterham instead
Here in WA im used to waiting for things (WA "wait awhile") But this is bloody ridiculous, our VSR people need to get their heads out their ass and bloody accept our vehicle standards are archaic and need to be amended. How the hell can they not allow this car, as well as other amazing cars.
australia needs the atom and i really wont one
What the hell is wrong with DOTARS! I'm keen sign me up for a road legal version.
The Atom is unbelievable! I would love to see it in Australia. For that price and the performance it is excellent and sounds like it runs on the smell of an oil rag too!
Absolutely awesome!
I guess I'm moving to New Zealand. nuff said!
Finally its here in Australia you can now buy an Ariel Atom from your local Honda dealer, they are priced at $79g for the 300hp model and it comes with a free helmet.....
I wish!,
Sign me up when it gets here. :p
Sign me up! I'll take one in red please...
I neeeed one
Yep. Sign me up for one.
If there is a problem because of safety has the government ever seen a motorbike?
Well I was all set to buy one when I found out that it isn’t legal here in Australia. This country has far too many laws these days. Too many suits with clipboards justifying their own existence.
Are we always going to be the last country to do anything about anything?
count me in i still think about the atom while at work all the time. and how much fun it would leaving work in peak hour traffic being able to zip past anything in front of you
OMG I want one...
Politicians are going on about rising fuel costs and the crap fuel efficiency of todays cars. (Cue the Arial Atom, hint hint). I was considering a motorcycle but if the atom was an option, I'd definately, DEFINATELY get that.
I'm a bike rider, and some days you just want to have four wheels on the road. For those days, I want an Ariel Atom.
I'd buy one too
amazing looking and performing car - id get one in a heartbeat
There are two atoms for sale in Australia now - at supercars.com - Stop whining and go buy one!
http://www.supercarsales.com.au/index.php/cars/england/ariel-atom-2
Yes please!!!!
I need it...
I've got room in the gararge, just not sure about room in the wallet
I'd love one if they were street legal they look so fun to drive plus great bang for your buck, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring to oz roads
give us the Atom! it's a fantastic car, and it would be so good as a commuter/weekender/daily driver/workhorse (as long as you don't need to carry too much!). easily as much fun as a bike, and so much more practical.
I will have my spare kidney up for sale if the Atom comes to Oz.
so what is the hold up?
With the majority of road deaths being the born again biker in the middle age bracket. Don't you think it would make sense to give them something safer to spend their hard earned cash on. Four wheels have always been safer than two so how come almost any bike can be driven on australian roads but not this great car. It seems from my pommy perspective also that australia hates anything that could affect V8 sales so maybe the big manufacturers quietly put pressure on the compliance guys to keep all good affordable cars out. Just a thought.
get iot here asap
bring it PLEASE!!!!!
hurry up, you stupid government...we want an atom, I WANT ONE
It's pathetic we're still waiting. Lets get the car here and lets get it road legal!!
This car will be my baby when it is street legal.
why are we still waiting? LETS GET IT IN HERE!!!
2.0l Supercharged Civic Type R engine for me please.
Clearly the point about safety has nothing to with it. Does anyone have a link to what makes a car compliant in the eyes of the law?
I want an Atom!!!
whats the hold up?? i heard its something to do with exhaust emissions? cmon! if i can buy a 6L V8 holden whats the problem with a little 2L civic powered feather, ive seen many westfield type cars on the road too so why not the atom!
I want!
As soon as one's here I'm getting a bit on the mortgage and buying one. Those jokes in their V8 C'dres and Fords spending $100k+ to get big horsepower should be green with envy - this smokes the lot!!
Hurry up. I want one, it would be great to see perfomrance cars that weigh as much as small trucks here in Aus
I want it! I need it! Why is Australia so far behind the rest of the world??? Even if they asked for the drivers to be tested to drive this car. Why penalise everyone because of a few idiot road users.
I want one. The V8 Version would be preferable.
Yes please. If it is legal in other countries, why should Australia miss out. The thing is, it may not be legal in Australia, but it isn't illegal;) We also need more lightweight cars on the road instead of all these unnecessary 4wd's.
Bring the Atom!
I know so many people who would want one. I would love one.
Bring the Atom!
Bring it on, I'm a Brit and the jet ski and quading thing doesn't do it for me. There's loads of money here in Perth at the moment and with the roads to dangerous in my opinion for motor cyclists the Atom would give a similar rush. We could do with a few more tracks though.
The atom presents the ultimate driving experience as far as i'm concerned. Will definitely look into one if they reach our shores...
Cant wait till the atom is availiable for us aussie's! I plan on gettin one as soon as i can, Love to take that to the westfield track ^^
Definately looks great. Devoted biker because you just cant beat the acceleration, now maybe you can and corner as well.
Let's all vote Liberal if this government doesn't let them in. If we can get about a million supporters labour may feel threatened....
I will buy one as soon as it is available.
All I know is, that I want one right now!
yeoooowwww i love these things... i would turn gay for an atom... yeah lets just get it onto Australia especially the 500 version
every since seeing it on Top Gear i've wanted one. The sooner it comes the sooner i can buy one!
MUST HAVE ATOM! will sell soul even to just see it for real. It drives me nuts to think that they would forget about us aussies, So come on Ariel, GET THE ATOMIC THUNDER DOWN UNDER!!
the atom is the king of them all when it comes to roadregisterable supercars. i will get one as soon as possible when they get here and THEY BETTER GET HERE!
FFS give me an atom now, lets all go to canberra and kick some arse of these wankers that are stopping us.....
I would sell my cars for this little GEM.
Keep up the good work.
The moment it becomes a possibility, I'll be driving one of these around Melbourne!
I would buy one ASAP
I will buy one when street legal. Try a slightly different track - why not a low emissions lower powered version - get it in as a green vehicle, with the hipo versionalso available.
give it me...now
First thing I thought when I first saw it was " I want one, I really really want one." Next was the disappointing thought that Australia's car Nazis would probably never let it on the road. Let's just hope commonsense prevails, but I'm not holding my breath.
I've sold my 2nd car and been saving the pennies to put towards an Atom. Please Sir ...
Hi Guys,
Good to see in Aus we have the oldest cars of any 1st world nation on the road. Yet the Fun police make it hard to get this
new car (which would pull up in a 10th of the time of a ford/holden) through compliance.
Plus the Gov Tax & Fee`s to get the car on the road will be about $30,000 for a 70,000.00 Car = $100k.
Once legal in Au i may try a private import ... or just pay the Tax`s .. you have to have one!
mmm now looking at $110-$120K for the Atom i may as well wait 24 months from (Dec 08) and pick up a second hand R35 GTR or new KTM Xbow.
I can see Ford and Holden being in the same state as the US market if they do not start changing what they produce. Make a car that is exciting!! Not zippy, nimble fleet car.
Aus is so backwards!
i want it, i want it so bad get the atom out to australia. its an awesome car with a hell of a lot of power and did i mention i want it.
god, just seen 1 in action on top gear(bbc knowledge) might i say...it was insane i was 1 bad!
I would kill to have one of these cars. Looks good sounds good goes good its all good.
I'd definitely like to see an Atom here - the open driving would be a perfect complement to the long roads and beautiful weather here and I can imagine would be just a wonderful way to experience the full breadth of the country.
So bring it down and let's see them driving around the country.
i want i want i want ...
please some one bring them in
How long do we have to wait for this car, it will be on its 6th generation before the common Australian gets to drive one.
Also - how does a car with no roof, interior, body work or even doors qualify for the luxury car tax in Queensland. If I'm getting taxed for a luxury car, I want a bit more leather and creature comforts to it, not just a huge import fee pushing the price above the "Luxury" threshold.
The only thing on four wheels that could pull me from motorcycles. I will get one as soon as they arrive in Oz.
please get them into australia and onto the roads so that my mum can buy one and park it next to her JCW mini.
Just acquired the P1 international Melbourne car, its not road registered so its track days only. Good thing theres one on 9th of Jan at phillip island, should be a fairly good day if it doesn't rain.
Oh god the horrible horrible things I would do to have one of these
Don't want to be a downer, but this is the Australian government we are talking about. They want to filter our internet. They don't allow electrical bikes on the road. Do you really think they would allow a supercharged car like this, with no windshield, on the roads? Doubt it.
I cannot believe that although the Atom is road legal in virtually every other developed country, we still haven't got it in Australia! What a load of rubbish! The Australian Government needs to wake up and let us buy these awesome machines...
anyone know how much it is likely to cost if/when it does get here?
Can't see how it is any less dangerous than a motorbike, and how come every other country has approved it road legal. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, I want to experience being an Alien.
Well I'm a year old father of 3, I have a clean slate with my licence, I work 60 to 70 hours a week and earn in excess of 100K pa. I have been a fan of the Atom since it was on Top Gear and I'm amazed that we are still waiting to see this awsome car in Oz!!!?? I would love to drive this car to work during the week( low cost) and play on Sundays in race track events(although I'd be slow) Pleeease bring this car to Oz.ASAP
Been waiting since the Top Gear episode.
Have not purchased a car since because I am waiting and waiting on this thing to come out so I can buy it!
Damn straight I want one!
Add me to the list of people that would definitely buy one if road legal in OZ. Bring it on!!!
This car represents a degree of freedom not previously offered for those of us that do not want to ride a motorbike. The Australian government should allow this car to be road registerable. It will prevent so many that go through a mid-life crisis from killing themselves on a bike in an endeavour to realise what they missed out on in their youth. I will absolutely be buying one.
i want my petrol powered face lift machine.!
I'm about to buy my normal car, and planning to buy an Atom in about 3 years from now
Need a new daily driver, the R34 GTR and GSXR 1000 i have at the moment id happily sell for an atom and am awaiting my chance to do so!!!
Hi All
I can't believe we are still waiting. How is it that a caterham is legal and an Atom is not? I would buy one today if the price was right.
arrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg I WANT IT NOW, I WANT IT YESTERDAY AND I WANT IT FOREVER...........GIMMY ONE
Hurry up and get them over here!!
Ive been waiting for this car to for quite some years. But whether it will reach Oz or not I can see the price creeping up that it wont be viable for many of us. It started as an affordable vehicle but at 100K+ its a whole different ball game. Remember in the UK initially around the 40k bracket, that when we all saw it on Two-wheels.
So either move to NZ or continue with what I do and thats ride a HAYABUSA which I have now had almost 10 yrs. The mighty Copper/Silver and at 15k at the time, thats affordable. You can find me at australian-hayabusa-club.com
Volvi (Founder)
PS.I would still love the Atom.
I don't post to anything but THIS.
Yes I WANT ONE NOW!!
Will buy one the minute they are road legal in aus, and will dream of that day until they are.
I would buy one within a week of being available in australia, and that's a fact.
when i have the doe... and when they are legal im buying one for sure.... i hope the price doesnt go up too much! ITS GONNA BE CRAZY!
:D
I will definitely be purchasing one if it becomes road legal in Australia. MAKE IT HAPPEN
Man, its been way too long since we heard about this vehicle and not have it exported to Australia.
Get those road legal options figured out and you will not be sorry, financially, if you sent us the Atom in Australia!!!!!!
What is the latest, because I saw one in Richmond Melbourne on the road on 31st of March. Unable to catch up to check for rego, and not shur if only here for gp, but I want one NOW.
Darren
I NEED ONE ARE WE CLOSE TO ROAD LEAGAL IN OZ???????? SCREW THE NEW BOAT THIS LOOKS LIKE MUCH MORE FUN.....
I'm SO in! please keep us posted!
I am a V8 fan and really would love one of the V8 atoms. When do we get to see them. Townsville is the best place in Australia for these little rippers because its always dry and warm with long outback roads and winding mountain roads through the ranges. Happy to trade the wife and my first born for the V8 version.
I'm sick of modifying my MX5 to be an Ariel Atom. For the spirit of driving, please let this beast on our shores!
Bring it out! What's the issue, crash safety? "Selling" the idea of a lightweight and economical car for two is what will get the authorities to take notice.
The rest of us will love it for its performance and handling. In the meantime I'll look into moving to NZ...
Is this australia protecting it's home grown cars. commodore or falcon anybody??? get the thing in whilst i am still young enough to get into it!
Count me in!
Just sell us the atom for christ sakes, 100+ buyers just posted that they wanted it
If Joe Blogs can buy a kit car, put it together in his garage, take it to the transport department who check it out and then pass it, why would it be any different for an Atom??? I do believe you are able to buy it in kit form, and assemble it yourself. Will have to find out if this is one way around the red tape, then sell a kidney and other none essential body parts to finance the purchase!!!
stuff it, ill move overseas if its the only way ill get to drive this thing. If you're young enough, stuff waiting.
i'll be selling my supra and getting one for sure as my new toy.
i would live with my parents until i can afford the Atom.. you can't beat it with it's gorjus body (chassis) and it's simplicity.. it's simply perfect!
They look great, id love to get an electric version of it that I've seen on youtube.
Give me one of those things...
I want this car asap, it's amazing!!
I want one hurry the f**k up pomy's
I would love to see this thing on Australian roads ASAP!!!
Yes please. I'll have one.
i'll definately buy one
I feel sorry for you guys. I live in Northern Ireland and got my Atom 300 in Sept. 2008. I've clocked up 3000 of the most enjoyable miles in my 47 years (30 years driving). And it's wet here most of the time. What I would'nt give to drive around Bathurst or the coast road south of Melbourne. The car puts a smile on not just my face but so many other people. Kids in the street, even good lookin young girls. If someone said to me, something was better than sex, I'd say they weren't doing sex properly. The Atom is a close 2nd to the best sex ever!!!!! I want to move to Oz, would bringing an Atom with me get me any more points with immigration???? Talking of points 150mph, doesn't just get you points over here, they take your licence and put you in jail!!
I want one so bad I’ll do almost anything for one. I think it’s the best car ever and I have some really good reasons to own one. 1) you can have the option of wearing a helmet and not put up with listening to your wife gas bagging 2) its better then a bike for the simple reason that you can’t fall off it and its just as fast and best of all I like that fact you can do 60mpa in under 3 seconds for under $100k
I want one so much that I’ve asked my grandfather in the U.K to help ship one over once I win lotto.
I'm in - get me the electric if that gets through legal proceedings more quickly!
